Issuance of a certificate of classification of hotels and rented furnished rooms - apartments in categories of stars and keys respectively.

What is a ranking certificate:
The special operating signal (ESL) for tourist accommodation is replaced by the accommodation rating certificate in stars and keys.

It concerns both the existing and the new tourist accommodation type:
· Hotels-stars from 1 * up to 5 *
· Furnished rooms for rent - apartments (EEDD) - keys from 2 to 4

The Tourist furnished houses or villas, which are licensed based on Law 4179/2013 article 46 and retain their special operating mark, are not included.
Classification certificate procedure
The classification certificate is issued by the Hotel Chamber of Greece (XEE) upon request from the company wishing to be certified, while the company is inspected by an accredited control and certification body.
